“Great value”

Very good Vietnamese food for outside of Uptown. Skip the pho and try one of the authenticatic dishes. Just remember that it's family style.
Chicago's best food find, really!. This is by far my favorite restaurant in Chicago. Honestly, nothing beats it! It is very classy and very cheap, and you always leave here stuffed! The food is also really healthy and everything is made fresh and all natural. And it tastes amazing! Everyday they have fresh cut flowers on the table, soft music, and the waiter service is excellent, they're on top of their game here, and aim to please! Their lunch special is a huge deal. For around eight bucks you get a drink (unlimited), salad, soup, a huge entree, egg role, rice, and dessert! For dinner it is just as good of a deal at about 10 bucks, and you get more! Just be sure to get a reservation and BYOB. It is a very romantic place in the evening with lit candles and is very swanky. Might be okay to get just a little more than casual. But casual still would do. The owner is always around to make sure everything is perfect. I eat here about 3 times a week! Even if you don't like Asian food, give this place a try because it is different than other Asian food! There is something here everyone will love!!!!
Great food, service, and prices. We had a great time here. The food delicious and the wait staff couldn't be nicer!
Great food, great price!. My husband and I order delivery from Simply It almost on a weekly basis. While we have only been to the restaurant once, we know from our many experiences with delivery that the people who work there are very attentive and provide the best quality food at a reasonable price with a high level of service. Our favorite items are the shrimp spring roll appetizers and the pho (noodle soup). The ingredients are really fresh and healthy, and they always throw in a free order of fresh fruit. Delivery is incredibly fast ? generally arrives in about 30 minutes. We simply love Simply It, and highly recommend it for others looking for a tasty, easy and affordable experience.
Great value. Been there 4 times. Never a bad meal. BYOB keeps the cost down. Great service. If youre headed to the next-door theater, they will pace your meal accordingly.
Great Appetizers, Lunch Specials. The prices were great, the appetizers were fantastic and the entree was amazing. I would definitely come back.
I love this place!. I love vietnamese food and there is definitely a shortage of it in Chicago, much less Lincoln Park. I was so excited when the restaurant opened, and since then, I go to Simply It at least once every couple of weeks. I love the pho and the summer rolls. Everything is so fresh and delicious. I have been there so many times - some times by myself and with different sizes of groups (the largest was with a group of 10) and the service has been exceptional regardless of how many people are at the table. I always recommend this place to people that are looking for good food in the city. You won't be disappointed!
Awesome Vietnamese in Lincoln Park. I went to Simply It six weeks after my first visit and the owner remembered me, where I sat, and what dish I had ordered. Since then, I have always been impressed with the superb customer service as well as the amazing food and the atmosphere. My favorite dishes are the calamari salad (appetizer), the roasted duck curry, the beef and asparagus, and the catfish (a special). The fruit smoothies are a fun twist to the traditional asian-style bubble tea. Definitely save room for dessert - the desserts are fresh and light but very delicious! I am Vietnamese and I think this restaurant successfully recreates the traditional Vietnamese taste while still satisfying the "American" palate.
Great Customer Service and Wonderful food!. Freshest ingredients. Wonderful friendly staff. And did I say the food was so tasty, fresh and flavorful? The prices are unbeatable! Well... what are you waiting for??? Make a reservation!!!
Real Vietnamese Comes to Lincoln Park.
Simply It is incredible. I have eaten there five times now and each time has been wonderful. The service is great and the atmosphere is good too. The owner is one of the nicest men I have ever met. He treated me and my date like we were family. One time we were there I ordered a dish that was going to take about 20 minutes to cook so the owner brought us out small salads and an appetizer for free. I couldn't believe how nice he was.
I have sent 10 or more friends there and everyone of them has had a positive experience. I haven't heard a single complaint.
If you are in the mood for comfort food at great prices and this is the place.
Best Vietnamese in Lincoln Park; Outstanding Customer Service.
I'm Vietnamese and typically go further up north to the 'hood: Argyle. However, I tried Simply It for some quick take out after work one day and feel in love with it! It's amazing to have authentic Vietnamese in Lincoln Park. The service is incredible. The owner greats each table and knows me by name now. Everything I've had is delicious and tastes just like my mom made it at home. The lunch special is UNBELIEVABLE! For about $7, you get a full entree, salad, soup, white or fried rice, a drink and dessert! It's BYOB, so grab a bottle of wine and try a new cuisine!
Delicious, outstanding Vietnamese cuisine is not stranger to the owner and the executive chef at Simply It. The owner, who sometimes prefers to be called "uncle," owned Pasteur in the Little Vietnam area. The executive chef was the sous-chef at Le Colonial for more than 10 years. The Chicago Tribune and Chicago Magazine both featured Simply It for it's food, quality and price.
Pros: Service, Authenticity, Selection, Ambiance, Price
Cons: Parking (Right on Lincoln Ave.)
