“Small, but cozy with fireplace and lots of tvs.”
“Only complaint is that they don't have very good beer specials for saturday night.”
“Food was good and staff was”
Would go back. I was pleasantly surprised after reading reviews about this place that were not all that good. The outside doesn't do it justice. Inside it is a lot cuter. Small, but cozy with fireplace and lots of tvs. Went there to have dinner and watch the UFC fight. Food was good and staff was nice/friendly. They had no problem changing the tv channels so we could watch the channel we wanted. Overall I liked the place a lot. Only complaint is that they don't have very good beer specials for saturday night. Beers were about 4,5,6 dollars. Would go back, but not too often unless they had better drink specials.
Don't go there! Awful experience!.
Me and a couple of my Mexican friends stopped by for drinks on a Saturday night. We had just been there earlier for dinner. There was a b ug that flew out of my salad and a b ug my friend found in his pasta.
Later, we decided to go again for drinks. My friends and I are all over 26 and yet, it just so happens that the owner comes and cards us. He then has the nerve to claim they are all fake. And we had just had dinner and drinks earlier that night. After showing him multiple forms of ID with my birthdate on it (military ID, driver's license, etc.), he still pulled the chair away from me and asked me to leave. He had NO reason to be that rude or to ask us to leave. We weren't drunk or rude or loud.
When we walked out, there was a Hispanic worker outside the bar closing up. He confessed to us he doesn't like people who aren't white and it wasn't the first time he had been like that.
Don't support a business like that! Take your money elsewhere. It's just sad to see that there could be that kind of racism today.
Neighborhood bar with a patio, martini list and upscale pub grub on the menu..
In Short
Fans of Bluelight, Waterhouse and Matisse can add this North Center tap to their lists of faves. Located around the corner from Wells Park, this tightly-packed place is mellow and welcoming with a handful of flat-screens tuned to sports. Customers sidle up to a centrally located bar froufrou martinis or grab a table by the fire for upscale bar bites like baked brie in puff pastry and duck confit egg rolls.
