Worst. Club. Ever.. First of all, the doorman was awful. Rude and lording his position of doorman over everyone for no apparent reason. I went to ask him politely if people on the list had to wait. He just barked in response "Get in line!" We fell back and followed directions. A couple said they were there for a private party - the same private party we were going to. He let them in immediately. I called him on it (in a voice that was calm and even). He went off saying "My opinion is the only one that matters around here" and "If you've got a problem with it, take it up with management" and several other things. Literally, I said nothing more - I had just said that one sentence to warrant this tirade.

To add insult upon injury, the bartender that was slinging the free booze was an absolute moron. First of all, he was trying to flip bottles to impress all everyone enough for tips. He spilled it on himself, patrons, the bar, the bar back - pretty much he spilled alcohol on anyone in a 5 foot radius. Glad to know my $40 was going straight to the floor.

When he finally did serve me my first drink (which took FOREVER), he wasn't looking while he 'poured' the rum. There was so little alcohol in it that was all soda. He apparently was in the habit of not looking at any of the drinks he poured, since I either got something that was pure soda or pure alcohol all night.

After tipping all night long (which, other people were NOT tipping after paying the $40), his service got worse and worse to the point that I was ignored for a very, very long time. To the point that the bar back had to tap him on the shoulder and say that I've been waiting forever. Did he serve me after that? No, he served about 5 other patrons before getting to me.

All-in-all I maybe had 4 drinks after arriving at 11 and staying until the place closed (which, it was daylight savings time, so we even had an extra hour to drink). Definitely not worth that $40 PLUS tip that I had paid.

THE BEST FRIDAY NIGHT EXPERIENCE. Me and the bestie went to Vain last Friday and had an ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL TIME!!! We had reservations, parking was a breeze and the bartender showed sooooo much loooove. You'd be crazy not to here.

Lincoln Park nightclub shoots for downtown glitz in a four story walk-up.. In Short
The Big House space got a serious makeover to accommodate this second-story night spot, starting with a very loud sound-system. Decor hops between spa, with stone tiles and faux-marble bars, and college bar with blond-wood floors and walls painted with artsy swirls. A glassed-in trough is equipped with showers where dancers perform several times each night to the house and trance set. A young, spike-haired and pierced college crowd eagerly dances and drinks.
