Editorial Review for Reagle Beagle – by Fred Schlatter
In Short
A boom box in the lobby blares a sample of the nostalgia within, where a long bar illuminated by red light columns and orange pendant lamps throw back to yesteryear. Swivel chairs surround tables in the center of the room, and lower lounging options with stone-topped tables fill the remainder of the space, along with a 70s flagstone fireplace. A post-college crowd laps up framed photos of classic sitcoms, retro tunes and cocktails.

Insider Tips
On the MenuChicken pot pies, fondue and macaroni-and-cheese are all part of the nostalgic vibe.
Know Before You GoThe intersection with Michigan Avenue is misleading as this portion of Grand is down the staircase just before Boston Blackies. You might want to head back up the two flights to Michigan Avenue, though, if you need a cab.
The ExtrasThe Reagle Beagle is also available for private parties.

Ended up at the Reagle Beagle on a whim. Walked in with a friend and was surrounded by photos of Tony Danza, Tom Selleck, and the cast of the Love Boat! To some that may be a problem, but for the Reagle Beagle that is just part of the charm. A really fun casual place more like a lounge than a bar. I don't know if the interior was modeled after the bar from Three's Company tv show, but the layout encouraged great conversation at all points. The music was fun, the attitude of the wait staff was cool, and there was a nice mix of young and old in the bar. I would definitely recommend the Beagle to anyone in Chicago looking for a fun, casual, night out. I know I will be heading back soon.

Was at the Beagle afterwork and the place was rocking. Lots of seating options, great Music and you have to love the 100's of pictures of 70's and 80's tv shows on the walls. The food was great (Swiss Fondue and Beagle Burgers). Drinks were priced well for the area of the city. Will definitely be back with friends.
Pros: Great food and a trip down memory lane
Cons: parking is scarce
