So much fun!. The atmosphere at English is great--very lively and fun. Its definitely one of my favorite places to go when I'm looking for a fun night. Also, having beautiful people in every direction doesn't hurt... :)

Late Night Place. English truly is a late night bar. Come close to 11 or midnight for the best crowd. The 3 levels always offer a great time and differing atmospheres as well. Check it out on a Friday or Saturday night.

Can't be Beat!. I frequent this place on most weekends... not only is it usually busting at the seams with hot girls, the staff is attentive and know what they're doing, and all the servers are beautiful as well. Not to mention free pool on the 2nd and 3rd, bars on EVERY level and food until 1am! Can't be beat.

Bar should value its customers, not run them off for new ones. Food was average and staff is rude. They made it seem like we were bothering them.

When we spoke to the manager about the attitude of his staff, he basically told us he didn't care because there are others who will take our table when we leave. We will never go there again.

Don't Waste Your Money. A few friends and I recently went here for some drinks, and I would definitely not recommend this place! The food was sub-par, the wait staff was rude, and the management was totally incompetent. One of my friends ended up getting charged way more than she should have for a few drinks, and when she asked about it, they told her she couldn't prove she didn't drink it. She ended up having to pay almost $70 for a couple glasses of wine!

Check this place out!. I kind-of thought this place was a club but when seeking out a new lunch spot yesterday I was surprised to find that they have exceptional pub grub. I highly recommend the English Crisps and the Fish & Chips were very good as well. Service was above par and the atmosphere was clean, open and casual. I will definitly be back!

This place has skinny fries. English has some of the tastiest burgers I've eaten in all my 17 years. You can choose between a standard sized one or you can order 4 mini burgers. Along with the meat, you are served good skinny fries that I ate all of. The food is all in all fills me up right.

When you walk in and get situated, you sit on bar stools with a table or at the bar. I don't really have a problem will the stools but sometimes if you want to get on and off and around, it gets annoying.

The service did it's job, although the guys would constantly be like RIGHT THERE, eyeing whether we were done with our food.

Nice after work bar. nice relaxing bar, no attitude, great staff and food is great.

5-7 is a good time to check it out.

Definately Check This Place Out. Food was great. Unique twist on a traditional British pub grub. And the English Ales are a must try. Very chill atmosphere and would be a great place to have a party.

This River North three-tiered bar and restaurant is a slightly more sophisticated extension of the Eat Well, Drink Better brand.. An art deco facade of pastel terracotta inspires a vintage interior. Multicolored mosaics cover most walls, offset by rich walnut, wrought iron and glowing amber chandeliers. Large black-and-whites of old guard Hollywood add swagger. The action happens at street level where a large bar and dozens of high tops attract suits for post-work refreshment. Upstairs features a pair of pool tables and booths for dinner service and another bar on the top floor.
