What People Are Saying About Crimson Lounge

In Short – The hotel's pristine white lobby gives way to a much darker space, the spacious lounge, featuring walnut floors, paneled and textured walls, blood-red rugs, puckered sateen perches and floor-to-ceiling glass panels emblazoned with Victorian markings. Generous high boys near the bar seat five, but most opt for loungier options peppered throughout. Hotel guests mingle over souped-up cocktails, like the luxury mojito that adds a splash of champagne to the already potent mix.
Crimson Lounge

My experience at Crimson Lounge was terrible.
The cocktail waitress switched from one to the next and then to a bus boy. Forgetting ordered drinks left and right. Finally when our waitress returned I asked why she was so busy looking around at all the empty tables on a Saturday night... her excuse was, "There is a big party in the back" .... After she left I got the manager after I saw the two dancing inappropriately by the front door and I complained to him. He tried to defend her and said she was always at our table and was very attentive to us... and then got cocky with me... has he ever heard the saying..."The customer is always right?" He was completely pathetic and I will never bring my service there again!
Terrible experience. Terrible service.
- Pros: Their employees act like gogo dancers.
- Cons: Their service is terrible!
It's interesting

It's interesting that of Crimson's five 5-star reviews, none is by a user who has written anything else. Maybe this bar is so great that it inspires people to join Citysearch just to sing its praises. The sort of people who write, "The girls were hot and nice instead of pretentious and the guys were cute and classy." They work in the marketing department.
- Pros: People love it
- Cons: Those people are imaginary

loved that i could go there after work and get greeted with a friendly smile and then escorted to a table.
The waitresses were at the front door saying hi and walking our party in. so nice!
When i asked the manager where the bathroom was(he was wearing a suit so i assumed) he put my arm in his and walked me to the restroom. I have to go back just to see if he is working there and get his name. YUMM! Talk about happy hour.
The girls were hot and nice instead of pretentious and the guys were cute and classy. I will definately be back.
- Pros: friendly place to go
- Cons: its in a hotel
The Details on Crimson Lounge
Parking:
Your options abound, from occasional spots along Kinzie to pay lots to valet.
Where to Sit:
Nooks, both large and small, line the perimeter. Semi-private rooms are great for bigger groups, but if it's intimacy you need, they have that, too.
On the Menu:
The bar menu features both very light stuff, like truffle oil-doused popcorn, and more substantial items, like sliders with frites.
The Extras:
One area near the bar, a little raised and cleared of most furniture, serves as a stage for frequent live music. Expect mostly jazz and DJs.
Know Before You Go:
They offer table (bottle) service, hotel rooms upstairs, bring out bottles of champagne with sparklers for birthdays, comp hotel rooms for our biggest spenders like Vegas does.
