Solid South (loop) Sushi (I dig alliteration).

The only good sushi in or close to the South Loop, plus a great sake selection and a cool, romantic atmosphere.

Fresh. Love it ! This is the freshest sushi I've ever had in Chicago, they even have fresh made wasabi. If you go, you must get the white dragon roll!

NOT BYOB. At least not like they were... The south loop location recently changed their BYOB policy to include a $20 corking fee. Not the best surprise to say the least. They do have a full bar, but for me the charm of this place is lost. The bucktown location still has BYOB for a resonable corking fee so I'll be heading there next time. Still loved the food.

Coast's second location is a visual stunner, serving creative Pan-Asian in the sleepy South Loop.. In Short
Vintage embellishments on the building's facade contrast with a contemporary interior. The foyer boasts marble accents and printed wallpaper, the rest of the dining room following suit with grained zebra wood, graphic wall treatments and carved wood vases. The sushi bar cranks out fresh, innovative maki with unexpected ingredients like mint and geoduck, but other items, like citrus-spiked corn and tuna salad, are popular, too.
