movin made simple. My wife and I were very pleased with the service that we received from LM. Not only are they very personable and friendly, they know what they are doing. The movers had a great work ethic and did an excellent job moving all of our belongings without damaging a thing
Quick and easy. The moving team was very fast, efficient and took good care of my belongings. They made sure all my property was well protected during the move and delivered in a timely manner. I will use this guys again every time I move, for sure.
Best company I have used so far.. We were very pleased with all the services provided by Liberty. The salesman Dave was very informative and took time to explain what would happen, and how things are handled. He was very thoughtful of our belongings, and even suggested crating our familys very old grand father clock which we were said we were scared to move. The driver and crew who did the moving were awesome! they worked very hard, I could not have done a better job myself. We had bad weather on moving day, but the Liberty guys handled it like the professionals they are. thanks to Liberty a job well done and appreciated.
Worst move ever. There should be a zero stars option for companies like this. They overcharged me and broke all my stuff. I called to complain and the guy on the phone called me a b____. They did promise me a partial refund, but it never arrived, despite my follow up emails/calls. I finally had to file a complaint with the BBB. At every stage, they blame the customer. They are the worst. Don't use them.
Worst Experience Ever. If I could give a lower rating for these folks I would. There are no words to describe the hell I've been through because of these movers. I was schedule for a Monday move with these guys. Everything was packed and ready to go..and I mean everything! I spoke to Ben so many times to schedule the move and organize everything that he was tired of me calling. My move was scheduled from 2-4. The guys didn't show up until 4.45 and my elevators closed at 5. Never mind that after 4 the elevator was used by someone else anyways. Ben swore up, down, left and right i would be compensated appropriately for the inconvenience. Given it is early in the month it was hard to schedule elevator times as such short notice. I asked Ben if we could do the move in two parts...once day out, keep the stuff in storage, and one day in. He was like yes, lets do it. It wasn't until my stuff was packed and loaded in the truck did anyone tell me that I would be charged twice for this (a move each day)! You would think that since they screwed up they would do whatever they can to fix it! I spoke to Aaron, the "manager" who told me that he was running a business, needed to make money, and would not adjust the moving charges. Finally after begging he told me - I will give you a discount. We will talk once the movers arrive. So I take another afternoon off from work...calling Ben every 30 minutes to see where the movers are. My elevator closes at 6; the fools show up at 5.45. My original time slot was scheduled for 3pm. Then apparently Aaron's idea of a discount is 84 dollars off. With 15 minutes to go...I had to sign the credit card transaction or they would not release my stuff. Aaron was conveniently gone for the day already. So I spoke to Ben, yet again, who AGAIN told me that yes..it was indeed all his fault, BUT I was the one who had to pay the price. Oh by the way, on top of all of these management issues, the movers were so rude. Yelling at me because I gave them bad customer feedback and asking them to be careful with my fragile items. When I spoke to the foreman he said, "you don't understand scheduling. If the slot is at 4pm, we can show up at 4." To which I responded, "Um, how do you move in and out in 1 minute". His response? "You can move your own stuff you know"...Long story short..because of BEN'S mix up and the COMPLETE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE I paid $700 for people to be absolutely completely awful and rude to me. Because my stuff was packed up, I slept in a sleeping back for 3 days on hardwood floors and took 2 days off of work to wait for these idiots. All this to move 1.5 miles....!
IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE, SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE.
I wish I had read these reviews before using Liberty. I selected them because of the 'quoted low price', you get what u pay for I guess.
The movers showed up three hours earlier then the scheduled pick up time and I told them I was not ready and to wait until the time scheduled. 10min later they say they will start moving what I had done. The movers started helping me complete the pack, which I never asked for, and for their help in completion I was just charged 300.00 extra. BAD START!
Now I just received a call from the driver of my furniture (6-5-11) stating my furniture will be in NC 6-6-11 for delivery, no problem, except my apt will not be ready until 6-8-11. I called Dave last week to schedule the move and was told the EARLIEST possible date for delivery would be 6-9-11 and that my items would not leave Liberty warehouse until 6/5 or 6/6, so I planned accordingly.
Now Liberty wants me to find a storage facility to hold my items, which I would have to PAY for and PAY to move the items into my apt, or PAY more money for my items to drive around the country and Dave said it could be 10 days or so before the items get back to NC, and I have less than 24hrs to make a decision. Dave even called me on 6-4-11 asking for the address, unaware that my items were already in route. How does a company ship your items without a delivery address?
I asked to speak to a manager without it happening. Dave stated he spoke to a manager. This manager appears to think this situation is my fault because I did not state I had delivery restrictions. If a company rep tells you the earliest delivery day is Thurs then being ready on Wed is not a restriction.
IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE, SAVE YOUR SELF THE HEADACHE, USE ANOTHER COMPANY I wish I had. I will let you my fellow consumers know what happens.
Awesome move. I moved many times but this was by far the best move. This crew is incredibly quick and nothing got damaged. This was my 3rd time moving in Chicago and each time was mediocre but I recommend these guys. Ask for Kens crew!
Unprofessional crooks!. Worst move ever! They were unprofessional, rude and didn't finish the job. Many of my items were broken, damaged or missing after the move. They left my boxes in the snow, didn't assemble beds, SMOKED while bringing things into my home (even though I told the salesperson that I am 6 months pregnant and he promised they wouldn't smoke while working). When I tried to file a claim for my damaged items, they REFUSED to send one to me. They left without my signature, boxes were in the snow, and I never saw the inside of the truck to ensure all of my items were removed. I called the office to complain and was told "they're human" when asking why the employees were so disrespectful. I have filed claims with the BBB and ICC to recoup the money I lost from this unprofessional company. I will never use them again!
HORRIBLE COMPANY- STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!.
This company was hired a month in advance to move my things from one state to another. My lease was up at the end of april- Liberty was supposed to come in the morning of May 1st and take my things. They called me 15 HOURS before their scheduled pick up time and said- oh, oops, we have to cancel because our truck is broken. oh but hey, if you want to pay us an additional $500, maybe we can find a truck to rent and then come get your stuff as planned. Because somehow its my responsibility to fix their mistake? And 15 hour notice is reasonable, especially for someone who is moving a couple thousand miles away? Right.
The sales rep was rude, surprised that I was upset and irritated, and a complete jerk when I told them I would find another, more reliable, less @$$-hole-ish company to work with.
This company is AWFUL- I would find a different one to help you with your moving needs!
Great Service,Great Compny........
I moved about 2.5 weeks ago with these guys and couldn't have been more pleased with their professionalism and quality of work. I had a fairly simple move, about a 850sq ft apartment.
It's a team of very hard working and dedicated movers. They worked for 6 straight hours without taking any breaks, informed us of additional charges prior to loading and had us choose whether or not we wanted to use packing materials. NOW which company would Give you the option to choose from moving blankets(free of charge) or shrink wrap, bubble wrap etc($10.00 per piece). most companies will use packing materials without telling you and hit you with the final price at the end of the move.
None of our things were broken, not even the items that we more tossed into a box than actually packed.
i'll definetely recommand them to anyone who's looking for a stress free moving company.
