My Moving Experience

I booked my move with Relocation Van Lines a week before I needed to be out of my apartment in Chicago. A few days before they were scheduled to come load my furniture I did some research and found horrible reviews about the company I had just hired to move my only belongings across country. Needless to say I was scared out of my mind that I would have the same experience, however I didn't have time to get another mover. I felt stuck. My charges did come out to more than I had estimated.. not by much but this was one of the issues addressed in the numerous reports I found. I ate the cost, hoping and praying that my items would arrive safely. A week and a half later my furniture arrived, intact and few few scatched. I was elated that I did not experience the same service as did the customers that posted reveiws against Relocation Van Lines. I decided to post my experience with Relocation Van Lines to show my gratitude.

Thank you Relocation Van Lines!

• Pros: I had a pleasing experience in spite of expecting terrible service.
• Cons: The end price was about $120 higher than the estimate when all was said and done.

Relocation Van Lines will steal your belongings and overcharge you!!!

Don't even contemplate using this company. Do yourself a favor and Google "relocation van lines, chicago". You'll find enough information on them that you won't think twice about not hiring them.

I hired them to move me out of state. Their movers stole items from every single room of my home, including 2 computers, printer, camera, video camera, artwork, silverware, ipod, Xbox, etc!!! It was almost $7,000 worth of my belongings that they stole. To top it off, what they quoted me turned out to be less than half what they ended up charging me. They held my belongings hostage and demanded cash payment or else they wouldn't unload the truck.

So, I had to pay double the quote for the privledge of being robbed... the items that were delivered were severly damaged (almost all of our furniture was badly damaged).

DON'T use this company!
