The Details on Tavern at the Park
What to Drink:
The restaurant offers a seasonally rotating lineup of inventive cocktails. For a very special occasion, order the Cloud Gate, a $199 martini made with Grey Goose La Poire and Champagne. Its serving glass is rimmed in edible silver, but the big surprise is a sterling silver Elsa Peretti "Bean" pendant necklace.
When to Go:
Lunch and the post-work bar scene are boisterous here. Dinner is calmer.
The Extras:
There are three private rooms, and the entire second floor--with a fireplace and unquestionably the best views in the house--can be reserved for groups of up to 200.
Parking:
Parking in the area can be tricky, so many drivers opt for valet, but if you dont mind walking, you can often find a meter on Columbus or further east on Randolph.
