Terrible First Impression
by jimmychoo229 at Citysearch
I walked in & wasn't greeted at all. When I approached the counter and asked if they could fit me in the clerks were rude and seemed disinterested in helping me. I then asked about membership fees & they told me the fees, but not a speck of additional information or anything that would "Sell me" on the idea of signing up. Also, both clerks were eating their lunch and the place smelled like fast food. Terrible first impression and I never plan on returning after that experience.
Massage envy First Massage

I called and scheduled an appointment. In order to make sure that I had enough time to get there and fill out the forms noted, scheduled the appointment at 2:30. Arrived at about 2:05 pm, filled out the forms, and described the problems with arthritis that I wanted worked on. This took until about 2:18. The manager then went to talk to the massage therapist, and told me that they could still get me in for the 2:00 apointment rather than having to wait for the 2:30 appointment which made little sense to me. So went back, and then got ready while they left me for 5 minutes to undress, therefore starting the massage at 2:25. At three o'clock I was told that the massage was through. So, for their special deal of 49$, I got a 35 minute massage. which did not complete what I went in there for. The pressure used was not deep enough for a deep massage.
- Pros: Nice Soft Hands
- Cons: Masssage was short, supposed to be medical

I went to massage envy per an ad I saw for $39. At the end of the massage I thought to myself, I guess you get what you pay for. I tried another massage place on Route 14 after this and loved it. They are only a little more in cost but well worth it.
- Pros: location is convenient
- Cons: the only upside is the location
Wonderful service and staying warm

This was a wonderful massage experience. I had some lower back issues and per a recommendation, had Pae as a therapist. While he isn't most versed in english, he was very good with the massage and gave some tips for stretches to do to help with the overall issue I was having. The heated massage table was an added plus! The only downside was the overhead music stopped about 2/3rd of the way through the massage so you could hear things going on in the hallway.
Also, from an earlier review concern, there are two owners to this clinic, one of which is a therapist and often will work on folks.
- Pros: comforting atmosphere, friendly staff
LOVE MASSAGE ENVY

I went to massage envy for the first time the other day and I lovveed it. The introductory rate was only $39, which I can totally justify being a college student. I didn't have to have that feeling of "this is awesome, but it's costing me a fortune!" lingering over my head. The rates after the intro. are really not that expensive either, which is pretty exciting! The staff was awesome. They were really nice and answered all my questions since I've had lower back problems from when I was little. I'm telling you, it was an hour of heavenly bliss, I wouldn't go that far if it wasn't true!
