Depends on who is cooking!. I have long been a fan of Domo 77! I try to go as often as my pocket book will tolerate. We always order several sushi appetizers. The sushi is very good however the sushi chef is very slow. The owner Suzy is very hard to work for an therefore they turn over wait staff left and right. Apparently she will bend over backwards for her customers but could care less about her employees (No I'm not a former employee). The food is typical Japanese steak house food cooked in front of you. The quality of the food depends on who is cooking. A few of the guys are really good and a few are LAZY. I can tell you not to go on Valentines Day - Honestly don't go on Valentines Day or you will regret it! Servers are either 100% awesome or 100% terrible. Overall you will walk out feeling that there was too much food and it was pretty good. Hopefully the server was good to you and you don't mind the $100+ check.

Good food, staff can be sketchy. I really enjoy the food and atmosphere at Domo 77, especially the Aurora location. I have been many times and the food is always fresh and delicious. My husband and I like to sit at the Sushi bar and we have become friendly with the chefs. They are great! They even gives us "free samples" which are always appreciated. Sometimes they make you things you would never think to order so that way you can try it without having to pay for it, very nice touch! I love all of the rolls, I think we have tried every single one on the menu!! The only issue I have had is that the waitstaff seems to turn over quickly and the service can be sketchy. But if you can get past that, the food is worth it!

Great for any occasion. Had a great experience at the Aurora location. The food was tasty - garlic flavored shrimp was a pleasant surprise. I am no expert on Japanese steak houses but have eaten at many - call me a fan of Hibachi style cooking - but I liked the smaller tables at Domo since you don't have to share with another family... and I had never seen or tasted the garlic breaded option... loved it! The sushi was also good and was a very generous portion. Go with your appetite because the food keeps coming! I usually go for birthdays and special occasions (like out of town guests), but this one is great for anytime you are hungry and want good Japanese food. The waitstaff was not perfect but were very friendly and accomodating.

excellent food and entertainment. first time at this location, have been to wheaton location and this was the same - outstanding! this place has an excellent amount and quality of food. i ordered filet with shrimp and scallops and my wife ordered twin lobster tails. we shared our meals and with the soup, salad, fried rice and vegetables everything was timely and delicious. we went there at 6:30 on a friday evening and thank god we had reservations, we got right in even though we were 15 minutes late for the reservation. i like going here 3-4 times per year as it is a little pricey! a coupon from wbig radio show saved 15$. take your honey there for an occasion and you will both be thrilled that you did.

Some quality food!. Didn't see what the "they'll cook it in front of you!" hoopla was, but all in all, it's a pretty cool way to dine once in a while. More importantly, Domo serves up some really good food. You can tell from the meats they bring out that it's fresh and high quality. Try their garlic shrimp, their filet, or the lobster...

beautiful restaurant, great sushi and LOVE the steak. I've been to the Domo 77 in Wheaton many many times with my family. After moving out to Aurora recently, we decided to go to the Domo 77 on Route 34. It's even better. The inside is big and spacious, they've got more sushi and as always, their filet mignon is to die for. Try their garlic shrimp or Lobster tails, I always get my steak or filet with their garlic shrimp. You can tell that they use the good quality stuff. I love it and I will always go back.
