Despite its size, The Streeter is a quiet building. The lobby's pub--named after a posh Dublin zip code--is lively though, bristling with medical staff and students from Northwestern. Soaring ceilings allow for dramatic brass chandeliers, a contemporary backdrop juxtaposed against mosaic floors, chesterfield-upholstered benches, a crackling fireplace and miles of weathered wood. Pints of dark beer outnumber domestic bottles, perfect complements to dishes like Irish-flavored lamb shank and steak.
