Fun, playful and comfortable frocks at this Lincoln Park shop outfit real women.. In Short
Light streams in through large windows at this mature-but-sleek boutique that's illuminated by clean, modern fixtures and filled with whimsical fashions from local and East and West coast designers. Racks reveal asymmetrical blouses by Animale, oversized, patched sweaters from August 27 AM and feminine outerwear from Mac and Jac. Accessories range from intricately beaded handbags from Mary Frances to classic, semi-precious stone jewelry from Melody Burns.

This local designer is beginning to spread her fashions beyond her hometown.. The Designer
After finishing design school in New York and Paris, Hamill opened her own boutique so that she could both make and sell her own line of clothes. On Armitage Avenue in Lincoln Park, this sweet shop does more than just satisfy the owner's creative urge: Her clothing is 100 percent wearable.

The Goods
Many of Hamill's stylish pieces can be worn for either work or play. Cocktail dresses, suits, daytime dresses, sleeveless shirts, tanks, sweaters and more come in a variety of different styles: sophisticated and cute, simple and fun, sexy and comfortable. Her styles aren't just for skinny, underfed model types; they truly compliment womanly figures.

The Accessories
Jane Hamill even has her own line of purses, and they coordinate with the clothing, too. Even though the other accessories (as well as some of the clothing) aren't by Jane Hamill, they're well-selected and not outrageously expensive. You'll also find some shoes.

Jane Hamill. Jane Hamill has been my favorite shop for dresses for 4 years. Everything is well made, priced reasonably and just beautiful. I always receive compliments on my Jane Hamill dresses!
