fantastic spa in the NorthShore, absolutely recommend

I have gone to many many high end spas around the U.S. and I am pleased to have found a fantastic one right around the corner in Glenview! I would have to honestly say that this spa rivals the Four Seasons Spa downtown and Ritz Carleton. It is spacious, serene, calming, and a relaxation destination to visit! I was extremely pleased to find an area for ritual baths, sauna, steam room, showers, lounge area as well as extra amenities like cozy bathrobes and Haviana flip flops. Extremely friendly staff, affordable facials made this place a real treat for my birthday. They even offer yoga and pilates classes! I finally don't have to drive downtown to get a luxurious facial and massage, can't stop gushing about this place enough! Definitely check it out, I assure you you won't be let down!

Just Wonderful!

Ditto to the posting from 11/23/2008 by skibum2go! I decided to treat myself to a facial on my birthday and took a friend's advice to go to Silken Tent. I did not request a specific esthetician but was so fortunate to have Marcia because it was the most amazing facial I have ever had. She definitely has a special touch!
I normally go to the spas in downtown Chicago but taking a drive to Glenview was well worth the trip --- a wonderful serene experience from the hustle-bustle spas of the city. The Silken Tent has a beautiful, modern and relaxing environment, and the staff is especially friendly and will put you at ease if you find the spa experience intimidating.
I definitely plan to go back and recommend to friends!

Most Amazing Facial by Marcia

Took a friends advice and scheduled a facial with Marcia at the Silken Tent. That was the most amazing facial I have ever had! The energy of her touch melted me and I zoned out to another place. I will definitely be back and recommend this woman to everyone! The spa is also a very beautiful and relaxing place.

Yoga:
A favorite is Niyama Hot Yoga, where students pose in temps of 90 degrees to increase flexibility and enhance the release of toxins.
The Extras:
Before or after that cleansing facial, bone kneading-massage or exfoliating body treatment, enjoy one of the water rituals: a rainshower, aromatherapy steam shower or sauna.
