In Short – This simple, white-clothed Chinatown spot comes from chef-owner Tony Hu, who is best known for foodie fave Lao Sze Chuan. Light from red lanterns illuminates a menu of Beijing classics like tea-smoked or Peking duck, mapo bean curd, dry chili chicken and Qingcheng-style preserved pork belly. Other finds include cumin-rubbed lamb skewers and cucumber salad that's dotted with chilis and peanuts.
Great noodle soups!

I had a nice cozy lunch here.
Pros: Spring Rolls, noodle soups (you can customize the spicyness), service was great and they had great recommendations
Tony, the owner, is usually in the restaurant and will pass out his card o you and make sure everyone is happy. The have a huge menu, that can be overwhelming...just ask your server what they think if you are stuck between two choices. Great value for your buck! Good food.
- Pros: the food and service
- Cons: large selection, can be over whelming
Bad food, bad service

I am from the northeast of China and I think the food in Lao beijing is really bad. The service is also bad. We made a reservation for 6 people but when we arrived there, they said we have to wait. I don't really know what reservation means in lao beijing. I think the owner is good at advertising, but not the food or the service.

- Cons: bad food, bad service,
