In Short – Belly dancing, low lighting, and hookah smoke lend a mysterious yet flamboyant vibe at this East meets West establishment. Big groups are common, from the elderly to child-age, and everyone in between. Plates from the Mediterranean menu are huge, all the better for easy sharing. The Lebanese hummus served with pita bread pairs well with any of the chopped salads, or the meats-chicken, lamb or the spicy fish (fried cod with tomato sauce).

Nice place for hookah and food

by auriellis at Citysearch

Of the many hookah/restaurant places I've been to, this is quickly becoming one of my favorites if only because of the late hours, the selection of food, and the amazing entertainment on the weekends. Their weekends start on Thursdays and go through Saturday night and there is a minimum $25 charge per person, done like credit so you can get anything. Their selection in hookah is limited to about 12 flavors but their hookah prices are one of the cheapest in Chicago at $10 per hookah.

The location is not your typical hookah bar with secluded tables covered by hangings. The room is very open with large tables that are close together. On weekends, they dim the lights, have a band, and a belly dancer. On weekdays, they have much brighter lighting and it feels more like a restaurant than a hookah bar. Their food is delicious.

The only real complaint is that I am not impressed with their speed. If you are going here, you will wait awhile to get your hookahs but they are very full and last awhile. Plan on spending a couple hours here if you decide to go. Nice thing is that if you have an issue with the food, hookahs, or anything else, the management is very good about addressing it.

  • Pros: Good price, good food
  • Cons: Slow service
