Avoid this place!!!!

This place is horrible! Last night they had that B96 bash that attracted every dirt bag and low life from the city. The wait staff was rude, the coat girls were completely clueless and extremely slow. The door men were jerks and on the way out they were making fun of people leaving. This is how you run a business? They should get a clue about customer service. I will never go back to Barleycorn and will tell everyone to avoid this place.

Yuck

Eeewwwwww . . . . this place is just gross. It is all of the worst kind of people meeting in the same place. Yuck, yuck yuck. I tried to give it a second chance but it sucks! The people here think they are so cool, especially the bouncers and the guys upstairs. Seems like some single girls come here to meet guys. Stay away ladies!!! I can't imagine the kind of girls that go to this place to meet guys. This guys that come here are scum. I would be embarrassed to ever say that I had been, let alone met some there.

If this can save just one person from going, then I have done my job.

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE

This place blows, very typical suburban club. Don't really care for the city ones either, but much better than this!! The guys that come here are such tools. Given how crowded it is, I was nervous that one of them was going to touch up against me and I was going to get whatever disease it is them makes them such d-bags. It seems like these people are all working garbage jobs, living at home with their parents and blowing their entire checks at places like this pretending to be cool. Nobody cares how much you go to the gym, how nice your car is because you don't pay rent, or where you got your Ed Hardy or Affliction shirt and sport coat.

Never go here if you do have to.

what a joke

they have plenty of toolbox bouncers and poor wait staff if thats what your looking for. The dumbest way you can spend $8 per hour (picture high school football team rejects, like the fat dumb ones. Amazing this place is as busy as it is. The bartenders/cocktail waitresses overcharged me when I noticed they took off the charge and then charged me an extra $50 on my cc. Thieves. I hope they get shut down Ive heard of this happening to other people too, but not surprised when you look at the management at this place. Ive been to their Wrigleyville club a bunch of times and always had a great time. It must be a suburb thing.

Depends what you're looking for

I was there on a Saturday night & stayed at the Extended Stay Hotel RIGHT across the street, which was awesome! I really liked the John Barleycorn, but it depends what you're looking for. At my age of 24 I'm kind of over the big loud dance scene, but I was meeting up with some of my college friends so I didn't mind cuttin' a rug again. LoL If you want to dance, be around a lot of people, and maybe meet a single girl or guy then go. But If you want a more chill bar,with less expensive drinks then probably not your place. Then again I didn't check out the down stairs bar, which was probably a lot quieter & chill, but with the same typical exspenisve drinks. But go and make your own opionion about it, take a good attitude! I had fun there!

• Pros: Food price ok, many Singles, great Bathrooms, Music Videos
• Cons: $4 beer & $10 cover expected though in Schaumburg
