In Short – Behena, best know for working with Rick Bayless and opening a string of hard-to-pronounce restaurants, puts out admirable dishes for customers who require authenticity. Each weekday has a mole--from delicate Rojo Coloradito to pungent negro--and a few protein suggestions. Less adventurous eaters will get by with great guacamole and tequila-marinated salmon. The authenticity extends to the decor, as market-inspired art--some by the chef--hangs on the lime green and yellow walls. – – Photo by Jasmin Shah

Outrageous Coconut Pie

by bethylou10 at Citysearch

Ventured to Real Tenochtitlan on Saturday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. We loved the massive, colorful space. The fact that it is BYOB helps curtail the expense greatly (corkage is $2.50 per bottle of wine). I can't imagine that there are currently that many restaurants in Logan Square that charge $20+ for entrees, but then again, Real Tenochtitlan is probably the only one serving seared duck breast. Saturday Mole was great. Coconut Pie was the best part of the entire meal, like eating a light, toasty macaroon with a pastry crust. Service was great.
