Spectacular Salon with a Spectacular Staff!. I've been going to Kelda for hair at George the Salon for about 3 years now. Honestly, I couldn't be happier. Kelda is a terrific stylist, but she is also an extremely enjoyable person. I look forward to chatting with her just as much as I enjoy the way I look when I step out of the salon.

But Kelda isn't the only great part of George the Salon. The salon itself was recently remodeled and looks top notch. However, despite the high-end decor, somehow the atmosphere is not pretentious at all. Instead, the front door staff--whether it's Becky, Ursula or Cat--are extremely welcoming and kind, and you instantly get the feeling that you are in the right place.

Love Love and more Love to George The Salon!. From the moment on the telephone to being greeted by Kenny and Michelle, this salon is relaxed, fun and friendly. I have never had a more attentive and nice salon staff, they really aim to please. I have Brooke for my color(very nice) and Kelda for my haircut. They listen and inform you what is best for your hair type. They also do not make you feel awful if you do not like something they are doing, I cannot say enough about the salon!

A Perfect "10" in Every Way!. I had my first experience last night at George The Salon. I can not say enough positive things about my visit; the staff, the talent, the atmosphere, the lighting, and even the shampoo chairs - a first-class salon in every way!! I have finally found the salon I have been looking for! Brooke is amazing with highlights - my blonde has NEVER been better! Kelda did my cut and blow-dry - I had tears in my eyes before she was even finished as I watched her perform magic on my dull, lifeless hair. I felt beautiful again! George G. has put together a very talented group of people who are extremely talented, very friendly, and down-to-earth. There is a "family" type of vibe throughout the salon which is very hard to find. I was also treated to one of the best shampoos I have ever had by Dae. He is amazingly talented and gives one of the best massages ever! I have been to just about all of the high-end salons in the city and have never been more impressed. The search is over - I am here to stay!

Great Salon, Great Stylists!!. Everything about George the Salon makes the experience a memorable one. From the relaxing and spacious salon to the customer care as soon as you enter. I would recommend any of the stylists that work there and would recommend the experience to anyone looking for complete color and care to the average guy just looking for a great, affordable haircut. This place has it all! Thanks a lot guys and good luck!!

BEST Salon in Chicago. I have been going to George the Salon for over a year now. Michelle is an amazing stylist! My haircut is always perfect. For a city location the pricing is very reasonable. It is an upscale and trendy salon without being pretentious. The entire staff makes you feel welcome and is very accommodating.

Great experience. I'm not much of a salon person, but George has been a great find. Nice atmosphere, trendy but not overwhelming. Everyone there is very personable and welcoming. Particularly good is the stylist Kelda...she does by far the best job cutting my hair of anyone I've ever used. Not only does she give an excellent haircut, but she is so warm and friendly, she makes the experience something you look forward to rather than merely another chore you have to tick off your to-do list. Highly recommended!

Highly reco this salon to any/everyone. I have been going to George for a couple of years now - following him from a previous salon to his own salon now. I’m extremely picky when it comes to my hair and prior to meeting George I bounced around from salon to salon trying to find the perfect stylist. Well I found that with George and his staff. His protégé Michelle is equally as great. She just did a Japanese thermal straightening on my hair, which turned out fantastic. Both Michelle and George ask and listen to what your ideas are and are just as great at suggesting what complements you.

The salon also has a cool chic vibe, yet not stuffy or pretentious. I think you get what you pay for and at this salon and that is a great a cut, style, color, and/or straightening!

Like a previous reviewer said – if I moved from Chicago I would not hesitate to travel back to see George and Michelle.

The only salon I have found in 7 yrs. I recently started going to George and it is seriously the best hair cut I have had in the 7 years I have lived in Chicago. He really looks at you, your face, style, and hair type to determine what would work best for you. He can make anything work. I went from a long to a short cut and I never thought I could pull the look off, but he did it. The only drawback is the cost, but its worth it! I will never go anywhere else.

The wizard of hair. No sooner do I leave with a new "do" from George than people begin acosting me for info on where I had it done. They are still asking me two months after my last haircut! How often have you experienced that?! George is gifted, stylish and much sought-after by those who love quality work, but even more than that, he is so kind, respectful and caring towards all who come his way. Fabulous staff treats the clients like royalty. You'll find a new family here. George has a vision for the future that you need to hear about--check him out! (But don't crowd me out of my appointments!)

Not just the best in Chicago... the best ANYWHERE!. I'm a long-time client of George's who moved to L.A. last July. Needless to say, I've not found a new stylist in my adoptive town- instead, I continue to come back to the man who's made so many heads of hair so gorgeous! Nobody else in town has the raw talent (watching George is like watching a sculptor at work), the trained eye, or takes the care and time that George does with every one of his clients. Long hair, short hair, man, women, young, old, they all are given the same care and attention and shown the same level of hospitality as they walk through these salon doors. George's new loft-like space here on Hubbard is fantastic, his colleagues equally as talented- do yourself a favor and book some time with him now! (And tell your friends after the compliments are inevitably lavished!!)
