In Short – Reopening in this roomier space gave rise to another change; gone is the tired art deco decor, trumped by fetching contemporary finished, like spot-lit abstract art, textured walls and a sleek, long bar. A wall of upholstered booths still lends that intimate club feel adored by diehards of the old Tiny. A familiar martini list is still the bread-and-butter of the operation, but now it comes bolstered with additions like a tart Pisco Sour and a dozen or so microbrews on tap and five times that in the bottle.

Best new bar in Chicago

by belletobin at Citysearch

This is one of those places that you could go on a date or just hang out with friends and you would have a great time. The staff is friendly and they have a really cool drink selection - totally worth trying something new and like their Tiny Cider (perfect for the summer) . They now have food, which is a really nice addition. Their food is WAY better than your average bar food but comes without any attitude. I'm not impressed easily and I'm impressed with this place.

  • Pros: Huge drink selection, fantastic food, great service,

The Details on Tiny Lounge

Parking:

Street parking can be difficult, although meters along Montrose open up right before rush hour.

When to Go:

This about as good a weekday-retreat as it gets. No crowds, no elbowing your way to the bar for that after-work de-stresser.

Where to Sit:

A seat at the bar feels perfect here, even if you are not alone (although loners feel comfortable here). The booths are fine, but can be a little tight if you are tall.

The Extras:

Fans of the old Tiny make the trek from Lakeview because they are loyal to owner Colleen Flaherty. Don't be surprised to see folks chatting as if they are old acquaintances---they are.
