I'd come back for the calamari and martinis alone. Not a bad chicken vesuvio either!

After years of being told to go to Viaggio, I finally made it there last night and it is one of the top 2 Italian restaurants I've been to in Chicago in 11 years. Order the veal scaloppine or live to regret it.
Rude Staff.. They are the most rude people in whole city the food is good though. I cant believe how rude they are i really felt stress out in the place. They made my birthday dinner not a good one
Great atmosphere, Great Food, Incredible Service. Last night my collegue and I had dinner at Viaggio. The place was packed and it was a Tuesday night! The food was delicious and the service was incredible. We were treated like family and loved it. I highly recommend the calamari, but everything we had fantastic.
Truly Authentic Italian. Viaggio offers the quality that most other Italian restaurants strive for. Truly Authentic and Truly Homemade! I ate here with a co-worker and we could both tell from the lively crowd that people were not only having a great time but also enjoying their food as much as we did. The meatball was fantastic. The calamari melts in your mouth. The service was great. Viaggio hits it out of the park! I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends with confidence.
100 percent the best Italian joint in the city!!!. Viaggio is by far the best Italian food i have ever had!!! If you want to eat and get treated like a king this is the place to go. I have been there a number of times now and love everything i order. My two favorite dishes are the meatballs and the Chilean Sea Bass. If you are looking for a great night out this is the "Joint" to go to!!!!
A Southern Italian spot--this one meaning "journey"--appears on the scene, just five blocks from the United Center..
In Short
Jay's Amore Ristorante morphed into this southern Italian eatery with exposed brick walls, warm wood floors and an expansive bar along the left wall where patrons sip wine while waiting for tables. The menu takes a classic approach with offerings like meatballs with Romaine salad to start, followed by rigatoni in Sunday pork gravy or spicy spaghetti with lobster and shrimp in fra diavolo sauce. A largely Italian wine list further ensures an authentic experience. Family-style meals are an option for large groups.
