Superb Service - Intense Flavors - Chill Atmosphere.
The menu is full of exciting foods, each with their own unique flavors.
The crab pizza will grab your attention but the duck pizza flavor is out of this world.
Don't be afraid to try new dishes, the staff will explain each dish and try to find a dish you will love.
Will be going back.
Unforgettable!.
this fun, fabulous and trendy hang out has got it all. Delicious food, great music with a rockin vibe, oh and their dirty martini's are the best I've ever had. Try the Steak and Egg on Acid, very tasty! Went here with 7 of my girlfriends and we closed the place down. The staff was very energetic and welcoming. I can't wait to go back! Oh and don't leave without dessert, yum-my.
You'll be pleasantly surprised with this place, check it out!
A sliver of a restaurant services late-night diners and end-of-shift industry folks with contemporary American fare and a fully stocked bar..
In Short
There's a lot going on in this tiny River North hang. In keeping with the neighborhood, Blue 13 exploits its loft setting with exposed brick and timber columns. Somewhat less familiar are the faux reptile-skin banquettes and flickering bar-top skulls, which create a rocker-chic vibe. In contrast to the tattoo art hanging on the walls, the kitchen strikes a serious note with contemporary takes on familiar dishes. Lobster-topped pizza, classic carpaccio, burger and duck preparations are intended as early or late-night options for a crowd that doesn't mind eating to a rock music backdrop.

Can't beat this new family - friend restaurant. Had such a wonderful meal and evening..totally unexpected.
Totally unexpected evening at Blue 13. After arriving before my friend, I had a nice drink at the bar with one of the Brothers of this new family restaurant. Mike the bartender made me feel right at home while Lamar, one of the waiters, showed me all the great dishes as they came out of the kitchen. The presentation on all of them was stunning.
As for the food...I loved my prosciutto wrapped asparagus salad with tomatoes and we also had the dim sum and sushi special but the sushi was just OK but the Tempura beans were delicious. To top it off the appetizers, we had to taste the Lobster pizza that was to die for, and the highlight of the meal. Make sure you take breath mints because it is loaded with garlic in a good way!
For Dinner I had the Steak on Acid which came out to order over yummy pirogi & wisabi along with a cooked over easy quail egg, added the right kick! I did not have desert but went for a night cap at the bar. The Executive Chef Chris Curren came out to say hello and give us a little overview of this great place and the one of the owners Dan Manunowski. Lastly, Paul the Host, made my Mojito because he is the expert Mojito maker!
The decor is warm and inviting with cool tattoo sketches framed art on the walls from the 1930s, and low lighting. Very comfortable and you wanted to stay awhile.
I have to say, I had a really good meal and can't wait to go back.
Best new restaurant!. You have to try Blue 13, went last Friday for opening night and can't wait to go back! Tried the Beef Carpaccio, Beet Salad, and Steak and Eggs. Everything was delicious and the waiter was fantastic. He helped us pick food and wine and did a wonderful job. Can't wait to visit again this weekend, maybe for a late night appetizer and beer (they stock a pretty decent selection including Unibroue, my favorite)
Great New Restaurant...Definitly worth trying out!.
Last Friday night I made a great discovery and I feel it would only be fair to share it with everyone else. I went to the opening night of Blue 13 which is just west of Orleans on Ontario. The place was AWESOME!!! I walked in and was instantly intrigued with the wall art (prints of tattoo sheets) and the steady rock music playing at the perfect level. This is not your typical restaurant but not in a way that is cliche or pretentious. The food was GREAT!!! We had the oyster shooters and butter poached lobster to start and followed with the Steak and Eggs on Acid (their signature dish).
I highly recommend this restaurant and plan on going back very soon. Its not very often that you find a place like this and I am so excited that I did!!!
