In Short – Evanston's Central Street is an ideal setting for this seemingly all-American bakery. The only wrinkle is that the scrumptious goods glistening under a lit-glass case are all for sensitive eaters--specifically those with gluten and peanut allergies. To flesh out the healthy vibe, there isn't a trans fat in the place. The goods don't suffer for it; chocolate mouse looks rich and fluffy, the muffins buttery and delicious. Regulars snap up cookies for accompanying afternoon coffee drinks, but pizzas, salads, soups and panini are also popular.

I purchased a lof of Challah bread by far in way the best bread I have every had!! Go and see for your self they have the largest selection of gluten free bake goods that I have every seen!

Central can be busy, but the side streets are usually good bets. If not, there's a lot further East on Central
What to Drink:
They take the coffee bar creations seriously, handcrafting cappuccinos and espresso drinks with care (and their sweet time).
When to Go:
Sunday brunch (10am-2pm) is delightful here, where the normal greasy eggs and bacon gives way to light egg and dishes and pastries. Getting a table, however, can be a trial.
