Citysearch Editorial Review. An airport hotel is the last place guests would expect to find a sexy, DJ-driven lounge, craft beers and creative cocktails, but that is exactly what they’ll encounter at this budget sister of the W brand. The design-conscious space borrows elements from the flashiest of nightclubs. High-backed microfiber sofas and purple chairs are laid out just so, creating an open living room space that flows to a dramatically back-lit bar and billiards area. King and double queen rooms lean minimalist, making effective use of what could be tight space. A built-in partition doubles as closet and magazine rack, for example, while also serving as a wall for beds on the other side. Extras like an HDTV mounted on the wall, Bliss bath products and a peekaboo shower equipped with a rainfall head make the stay extra special.
W Hotel spin-off splurges on design, right down to the LED-rigged bar-top..
These fresh boutique-style hotels make Ws look like dour old roadhouses. Vibrant pinks, yellows and blues accent blond wood and stainless steel in the hotel's public spaces. Just offthe lobby is the W XYZ bar, where specialty cocktails and eclectic small plates are served under a dramatic back-lit wall. Rooms emphasize technology: They are wireless, wired for sound and feature a hub with universal gadget chargers. It's not all about the inside though; 9-foot ceilings and full length windows make the rooms feel light and airy.
