When I miss Europe, I go to Eastgate Cafe. This cozy little charming place opened up right across the street from where I live. Their good coffee I'd get once in a while allured me to go in and try their food as well. Although I went there by myself I never felt alone. The owners are so sweet, so welcoming and nice. I thought that was the best quality, along with the intimate European type atmosphere, until I tried their lobster bisque, tuna sandwiches and salads. Healthy and delicious come close to describe it fairly. I love tuna and Whole Foods is the place I shop for that. I always thought it was the best up until I tried what Eastgate had to offer. I was surprised to see they also offer beer and wine on the menu. It is definitely a place I recommend trying. They also have very nice live folk music on Saturdays and Sundays it's the open mike night. Aside from that, if you go alone, there are magazines all around to read, or you can bring a book or your laptop as they have free WiFi. In Oak Park, it is one of my favorite places to go and unwind.

CHARMING, ROMANTIC ,ONE OF A KIND. Absolutely greate place - worm, inviting, romantic. Supper tasty food (pulled pork sandwich), art of dessert (raspberry pyramid) and good glass of wine makes a good evening. From service to atmosphere, from look to comfort, I can't put a finger what is better. All my Holiday shopping I did at Eastgate and I received nothing than a compliments (...where did you found this it is so unique...). My secretary got a Chocolate Champagne with candies in - she was speechless.

Unique and Charming Gift Shop - Cafe. Locally owned, unique, small shopping/bookstore area and cozy, elegant and confortable cafe. You really wont to be there, from the welcoming to good by. Very good sandwiches, delicious lobster bisque soup, good Italian coffee - LAVAZA and ART of a French deserts. I couldn't resist to not have European Ice coffee (coffee-ice cream-whipped cream-topping). All prices very good. Place perfectly fits in Arts District. Almost destination. Some gifts and books I never seen before - so uniq and different and very afortable ($5.00-$220.00). This small place is open 7 days a week with long hours - what is good.
