What People Are Saying About C-View

Citysearch
The name and location (30 flights up) suggest views, and the generous windows deliver with Streeterville and Loop cityscapes. The lounge's indoor portion relies on tightly upholstered club chairs in tan leather, glassy pendant lighting and an underlit bar. The look is inviting, but it's tough to compete with the outdoor space, where glass panels afford unobstructed views and a communal table encourages mingling. A solid wine list plays a supportive role to summery cocktails (muddled fruit mojitos are popular), and a tight menu favors seafood. – – Photo by Jasmin Shah –…
The Details on C-View
Parking:
Valet at the Affinia. The hospital and vicinity to the Mag mile make finding legal parking on your own a chore.
The Extras:
The food comes from C-House, Marcus Samuelson's restaurant in the lobby. This means you can sample the goods without breaking your neck for a reservation or the bank once you get one.
When to Go:
This place screams after-work drinks. That's of course also when it's busiest--weather permitting.
Where to Sit:
The communal outdoor table is nice, but limited chairs mean chances are you'll have to lean. The club chairs inside also shouldn't be ignored.
Know Before You Go:
Smokers will be sore to hear that they're out of luck--and yes, the servers have already endured the resulting nic-fits.
