In Short – The spacious storefront just steps south from Wrigley Field is painted in the familiar pizza-parlor-red, and its neon signs attract rowdy Cubs like moths to light. Of course, the giant, dripping slices topped with mac-and-cheese, lasagna, black beans and rice and barbecue are compelling lures as well. The Details on Ian's Pizza
Parking:
You'd have better luck finding dugout tickets on game day than a good parking space. Your best bet, of course, is to ditch the car. That or pay through the nose for one of the many area lots.
The Extras:
Lunch specials are available most weekends, especially during the season when management hopes to get an early crowd and one again after the park lets out.
When to Go:
For dinner and a show, try the tail end of a home game when sauced-up fans pour out of the park looking for some fodder to soak up all the beer. If you like to savor your steak-and-fries pizza in relative peace, try a weekday afternoon.
Where to Sit:
The best seats are by the garage-style windows near the front. They let all the ambience of Wrigley right in.
Know Before You Go:
Ian's is closed Mondays, except when the Cubs play at home. Also, the restaurant always opens one hour before any Cubs game.
