The Cuban sandwich is to die for, while
the dulce de leche roll and cafecito are a sweet afternoon pick me up.

Unassuming downtown cafe with some of the city's best Cuban sandwiches..
In Short
It's got the best Cuban sandwiches in downtown Chicago, but Cafecito doesn't look like much from the outside, or the inside for that matter. Connected to a hostel, the bare-bones decor of utilitarian tables and chairs reflects the basic menu and low prices. At any time of day, expect to see hungry college students and weary travelers planted, noshing on the filling sandwiches. Everything on the menu is less than $5.50, including the authentic Cubano, a pressed, warm sandwich which oozes roast port, ham, swiss, pickles and mustard.
