Try the Gaetapas (Chef's choice). It is amazing. It is a feast of 6 to 8 dishes, including pasta and dessert. We had clams, Kobe beef, gnocchi, the best tiramisu and more. I wish I could describe everything better but it was beyond my food expertise but not beyond my palate's expertise because it was so YUMMY. Loved it and can't wait to return.

disappointed with last visit. I loved La Piazza!! Used to go there at least twice at month for the Jazz atmosphere, of course the food was always excellent. The servers were great and very familiar with the menu and wine selection. I also went to Gaetano’s about a year ago and the experience was good, not great but good. However, I didn’t have the greatest experience during my last visit a few weeks ago. The new servers had no experience with the menu and didn’t know much about the wine, they were playing with each other like little children, they were obviously drinking and were very loud, their conversation was so gross I walked out several times cause I was so disgusted. They definitely ruin my dinner. Not good when you are playing 60+ per person.

wonderful experience. my boyfriend treated me to gaetano's for my birthday dinner, and it was wonderful. the decor, staff, ambiance, are just great. we ordered from the tasting menu, every dish was unbelievable. you may take your time, not be rushed, and enjoy.

If I could give more stars I would.... Hands down this is some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten. I tried Gaetano's for the first time last week and was blown away. I had been to La Piazza so I had an idea of what I was in for. Chef Gaetano is a master of his craft and I have never had a meal that I did not thoroughly enjoy. Our waiter gave a great wine selection and was very helpful and attentive. The restaurant itself is small and reminded me of La Piazza before they expanded the restaurant. I had the Champagne Risotto with mushrooms and lobster and I highly recommend this dish. It still amazing the next day after reheating. The portion was huge and I had plenty to take home. The rest of my party ordered the Wild Boar, Halibut, and Potato Ravioli and everyone was as satisfied as I with their choices. We also ordered the Halibut Medallions and Zucchini Blossoms (a must!!!) for appetizers, the Beet Salad and one other that I can't remember the name of but it had Hearts of Palm that were both amazing. I am a coffee snob and the coffee was even good. For dessert we ordered Plum and Ginger sorbet, Tiramisu, Bread Pudding and Creme Brule all of which were incredible. Our waiter gave us some delicious Lemoncello and Panna Cotta which were a perfect ending to a perfect meal. We dined on a Friday night was it was very busy. We had a reservation for 8:00 and were sat a little late but it was worth the wait. I highly recommend having a reservation. Street parking is hard to find on the weekend because there are a lot of bars on Madison Street but Gaetano's has valet for $5. I will definitely be back and think that everyone should try this place at least once in their life. Trust me you will be happy that you did.

Gaetano's shows care, discretion in his creations.. I enjoyed gaetano's during my last few visits. The food is tastefully prepared and seasoned. The tiramisu, however, is far below average. It needs to be scrapped and the chef needs to come up with a better tiramisu recipe.

BEST RESTAURANT!!. This restaurant is one of the best restaurants I have been to in years. I've been twice in the past couple months. Once with my husband,and the second time we brought my mother. The first time my husband and I ordered from the menu, as he tends to be picky. He ordered the Lamb and I had a pasta dish. Both entrees were delicious and very unique. You can tell that the chef puts a lot of time into coming up with the recipes on his menu. The second time we went, we did the Chefs Selection. This is what I recommend! You get to try a little of everything. And it's ALL GOOD!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant!
