GREAT SUSHI BUFFET!. The wait staff was extremely friendly and attentive (not usually the case with sushi buffets). The rolls were fresh and made to order. The extra appetizers added on to the sushi buffet menu were an added perk. The fried rolls were amazing! Best of all... BYOB!!! Just make sure to starve yourself all day before going.
A Korean and Japanese menu is an ambitious attempt to lure Lakeview locals..
In Short
Trying to preserve aspects of a defunct restaurant in a new venture typically doesn't work well, but owners hope the Korean dishes (relics of Koryo) will seem fresh again paired with Japanese. The latter part of the equation has resulted in Americanized sushi rolls, like the deep-fried Miami, stuffed with yellow tail, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese and tobico. Korean items are more promising; Bibimbop is a piquant rice dish dressed with spiced vegetables, choice of flamed-broiled meat and an egg. It's filling, but not in a fried-sushi sort of way. Young locals appreciate the choices (and the BYOB license).
