Editorial Review for Caberfae Peaks Ski-Golf Resort – by Citysearch Editors
The Scene
Decidedly glitz-free, rarely advertised and a bit rough around the edges, Caberfae might be best described as "classic." Things are on the upswing, though. In 2000, the resort debuted a brand-new, 16,000-square-foot day lodge with cafeteria, changing rooms, stone fireplace and more.
The Slopes
The area does have something that no other Michigan resort possesses: the two highest lift-served peaks in the Lower Peninsula. North Peak and South Peak are outstanding, and you get to ski every inch of them (with no run-on or run-off). In fact, the main reasons for skiing Caberfae Peaks are the long, well-pitched trails--a contrast to the short ski runs that characterize much of Michigan skiing--and short lift lines.
