Tapas emporium offers a small-plates fix for South Loopers..
The sparsely populated dining wasteland that is South State Street finally has a big, flashy destination spot to call its own in this sibling to Naperville's Meson Sabika. The menu--printed daily with fresh specials--bursts with crowd-pleasing staples like garlicky shrimp, spicy patatas bravas and paellas priced per person, but it's the daily offerings that delight tapas veterans craving something new under the sun. Mosaic-tiled Joan Miro reproductions splash the walls, and festive music reverberates throughout the high-ceilinged space, setting a celebratory mood for a mix of young couples, groups and older diners.
