Logan Square cafe with authentic food and tropical ambience.. No matter the temperature outdoors, it’s perpetually bright and sunny inside this casual Cuban spot. Breezy island music and the faint whir of blenders whipping up tropical shakes permeate the dining room, and the tropics-bright walls are papered with Cuban news clippings, postcards and ads. The mainstay Cuban sandwich gets kicked up a notch in the Media Noche, which combines house-cured pork and ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard, melted to gooey perfection on sweet bread. A flaky, guava-filled pastelito and a cafe Cubano make for a quick breakfast or a satisfying dessert.
