Creative Mexican restaurant in North Center.. Logan Square’s rustic Fonda Del Mar spawned this urban chic sister, where Mexico City pride finds expression via brightly colored sauces and sophisticated, minimalist decor. Shiny natural wooden floors, elegant tables with white tablecloths and a soundtrack of smooth electronic Latin beats cater to tastes beyond burritos and beer. The menu does feature the basics, such as tilapia fish tacos and house margaritas, but it’s the more upscale items, such as the adobo-marinated grilled chicken breast covered in a creamy, subtly spicy poblano peanut sauce, that draw the crowds.
