Hot dogs are king at this offbeat Lincoln Park weiner stand..
Haute hot dogs are nothing new to food-loving Chicagoans, but the young, friendly owners of this Lincoln Park stand figured there was room for one more. Judging by the loyal fans who frequent this small, funky storefront, with tabletops made out of vintage bowling lanes and corrugated steel walls, it looks as though they were right. Orders are taken at the counter for traditional hot dogs, like the Chicago-style dog with the works and the more adventurous French Poodle (brie and pear) and Chompers (smoked alligator with caramelized onions and sweet chili sauce). With its proximity to DePaul, Dog House has earned its fair share of loyal student patrons.
