Tangy hint of Sourdough in crust. I've worked in the neighborhood for about a decade, and lunch around here is always miserable. You have a choice of a few lackluster restaurants or bar food. Not anymore! The pizza is superb and nicely priced. I've come back to this spot again and again. Mod seemed to have had a rocky start, my first few visits were inconsistent. Sometimes fabulous, or times I had an overly long wait. I kept coming back, partly because the options in this neighborhood or slim. I'm glad I stuck to it!

Food is great everytime, and I feel welcome and appreciated here.

Organic, homemade pizza pies with pizzazz in the West Loop.. Quiet yet family-oriented, this loft-like pizza parlor, lit by polka-dot paper lanterns, tops its signature sourdough crust with organic veggies and homemade sausage. Although many dishes have goofy names--the “When in Rome,” a white-sauced pizza with pancetta, peas and mushrooms, for example--they’re really just traditional Italian eats done right. Salads and picnic-appropriate sandwiches are a lighter alternative, but Sunday supper-worthy linguine with chopped clams makes diet-busting fun, especially with a side of house-made meatballs.
