The seasonal flavors at this modern Italian eatery favor the clean and classic more than the name--which translates to "crazy food"--might imply. Dishes like black truffle vinaigrette-drizzled sea scallops over celery root puree and corzetti "coin" pasta with sweet corn and charred onions appeal equally to date-night couples, groups of friends and business travelers staying at The Wit. The creamy, high-backed leather banquettes seem built for sinking into with a third glass of wine, and the sexy, understated room gets a pop of visual interest from the whimsical ceiling fresco depicting floating people amidst tree branches and butterflies. Wine-lovers will ogle the 4,000 worldly bottles housed in a large wine tower.
