Terrible place with even worse service – I wish I could give it NO stars and the OWNER waited on us dressed like a janitor. Disgusting.
Perfect spot for brunch! – I can't say enough good things about this place. The Pannenkoeken is sooooo good. I was a little skeptical of trying this crepe-looking Dutch creation, but boy am I happy I did. I tryed the one with apples and powdered sugar, definatley a good choice!
Come here with friends or a date, you will be happy you did. Yuummmm.
Wicker Park breakfast spot serves crepe-like Dutch pancakes. – Young families and artsy neighborhood types relax over steaming mugs of coffee at this Wicker Park breakfast nook that specializes in Dutch "pannenkoeken." Essentially the Dutch cousin of the crepe, these thin, plate-covering pancakes come topped with ingredients either sweet (apple, ginger marmalade, chocolate, bananas) or savory (sausage, cheese, bacon, mushrooms). Decor in the brick and wood-heavy space is minimal, with visual references to the pannenkoeken's homeland limited to a few miniature wooden shoes in the window and small vases of colorful ceramic tulips.
