Finally Real Cuban Food. Wow the food is terrific! I have eaten Cuban food in restaurants in Miami, Cuba, New York and this is as good as any restaurant in Miami (the best outside of Cuba). I have tried just about everything on the menu and found everything authentic Cuban just like in my Cuban friends homes. I usually go with Cubans and they agree this is like eating at home. The only negative is that the service is extremely slow especially if they are busy and in addition to being slow not very attentive. If they are busy the kitchen is also very slow. If the food wasn't so fantastic I would not be happy there.
D'Cuba is awesome!. This is a true find, after so many years here in Chicago we finally found a Cuban restaurant that hits the mark. Don't get me wrong there have been restaurants that almost but never completely satisfied our desire for Cuban food like abuelita used to make. Everything was truly authentic Cuban. Everything here was Cuban, except for our delightful server. We really enjoyed our apetizers, soup, main courses and sandwiches. Everything just like I remember my grandma made, even the flans.
You have to try thier food. We saw this place on line and try it out. No regrets best Cuban food i eaten in Chicago Must Try.You will Love it.
This is cuban comfort food at its finest!.
The moment you step into this restaurant, you will feel like you are experiencing the sights, sounds and aromas of Havana. The white tablecloths, tropical decor and the Cuban music playing in the background, sets the scene for an enjoyable dining experience.
The appetizers are delicious. My favorites are the pollo (chicken) empanadas and the yucca frita (fried yucca). The entrees, especially the masas de puerco fritas (fried pork chunks), rabo encendido (ox tails) and ropa vieja (shredded beef), has to be the best in the city. They also serve tasty, authentic cuban sandwiches here too.
If you are looking for great cuban food, nice atmosphere, and friendly service at affordable prices, I highly recommend D'Cuba!
Finally ... GOOD FOOD!.
If you desire a home-cooked cuban meal at a resonable price, look no further. It's been a while since my family and I have sat down and actually enjoyed a meal at a cuban restaurant (one of the drawbacks of living in suburbia). For us, visits to a cuban restaurant were few and far between. Our visit to D'Cuba will hopefully put the kabosh on that! The four of us each ordered different platters in order to sample as many different foods as possible. We ordered palomilla encebollada, ropa vieja, masas de puerco frita and lechon asado. All the above accomapied by the usual white rice and black beans, con gri and even the puerto rican classic arroz con gandules! DA BOMB! Every dish was as tasty as mom's except for the gandules. Mom's never cooked them so I can't compare but I've had plenty through out the years and this one did not disappoint. All the meats were tender. The bistec along with the lechon were juicy. The pork chunks were huge and tender. Even my kids (highscool and college age), who by the way did not want to eat out with mom and pops, were singing praises about their meal. They even want to return! Go figure that one out! We had both vanilla flan, coconut flan and rice pudding for dessert. The flans were the bomb digitty but I could have done without the rice pudding. Mom definitely has the upper hand on that one.
Again, if your looking for a quality cuban restaurant, give D'Cuba a try. I think you'll be pleased.
Great place for cuban food.
Decided to try this place out after passing by it a couple times and i will definetely be back! Their appetizers like the empanadas and papa rellenas and it hit the spot.
As far as dinner goes the ropa vieja was absolutely delish! I didn't want to finish it all just so I can have left overs. I see they have lunch specials as well so I will have to come back and try more things on the menu.
Also try their flan. They have 2 kinds. Standard vanilla and coconut.
you need to go! so good, thank me later. we where at the cuba restaurant last week for the 1st time and i have to tell you thats the best cuban restaurant so far try the cuban sandwich ,the arroz congri the jibarito and the gallego soup well everything we ate was amazing
