Citysearch Editorial Review. This Uptown sushi den's splashy, colorful surroundings are right in synch with the imaginatively updated Japanese food. Since it's tucked into the corner of an inauspicious-looking strip mall, the restaurant's sprawling size and colorful, contemporary interior are a pleasant surprise to the trendily dressed young couples and groups who fill the dining room's many nooks. The long menu offers plenty of nigiri, sashimi and maki of every variation to satisfy raw cravings. However, sushi veterans will also appreciate uncommon options such as bacon-wrapped scallop and crab cakes, shitake mushroom salad with orange ponzu dressing and a flight of four spicy seafood tartars--tuna, salmon, crab and octopus.
