Always a favorite - the cocktails are. The cocktail menu is enormous, but you can just point and pick at random—every single one is going to be good. Also awesome: the brunch menu, fried cheese curds, an abundant cheese plate... I could keep going.

I like cocktails and snacks at the bar here or brunch. The eggs Benedict and beignets are to die for and there are plenty of healthy options too!

The menu lets you opt for small or large portions, so dabble away! After all, the chef is Top Chef alumna Sarah Grueneberg. The lobster roll sliders are divine.

Tips for Sable Kitchen & Bar

April 29, 2010

Citysearch Editorial Review. Clean lines, dark wood accents and impeccable service round out the scene at Sable Kitchen and Bar, a gastro-lounge inside River North’s Hotel Palomar. A well-edited selection of cocktails made with fresh squeezed juices and homemade syrups by mixologist Mike Ryan make Sable a coveted after-work hotspot. But the small plates, including a classy version of beef jerky and doughy soft pretzels with smoked cheddar cheese dip, are great options for a satisfying bite. The selection of flatbreads are definitely another strong highlight, but no matter what you nosh on, definitely save some room for dessert. Chef Heather Terhune’s homemade coconut tart is out of this world.
