Dr. Nick LeRoy. Finding Dr. Nick LeRoy was a blessing. I came across his website after a being frightened by my physician with the demand that I have surgery to remove the atypical cells that had formed on my cervix.

I am a 25 year-old healthy female with a history of irregular menstrual cycles. When I had them they would be extremely heavy and painful, but other times I would go months without having them at all. I went to multiple doctors to figure out what caused this irregularity and how it could be fixed. A few doctors suggested that I take oral birth control to regulate my cycle. In October I had a regular PAP test and began birth control shortly after. My cycles were normal again, however when I went for my follow up PAP in March my physician told me that I had atypical cells and needed to do a biopsy. The results of the biopsy showed that I developed “mild” cervical dysplasia. I asked what I needed to do to remedy this, but he assured me that as long as I wasn’t a smoker that it would clear up on its own and that there was nothing to worry about. I asked if the birth control had anything to do with it, he said no and again I was reassured that the body’s immune system would clear it up on its own. I was told to follow up in a couple of months for another biopsy and colposcopy. When I returned in May the doctor still saw atypical cells and sent a sample to the lab for further analysis. A few days later I received a phone call for my doctor saying that my “mild” dysplasia had progressed to the next stage of “moderate” and that the next step was for me to have medical procedure were they take scalpel to scrape the abnormal cells off of my cervic—both his bedside manners and phone are not comforting. From my research on this I found that there was no guarantee that the dysplasia would not come back, and that multiple rounds of this procedure could lead to later fertility complications.

My partner saw that I was terrified, began researching alternative treatments and came across the ICPH. On the website, Dr. Nick had a successful case study procedure that he performed that cleared up Cervical Dysplasia. In June 2011, I called Dr. Nick, explained to him my issue made an appointment. From the 1st phone conversation he was very, attentive and reassuring that there was an alternative way to cure the dysplasia. A wk later I drove 2 hours to Chicago to meet with him. I asked many questions and the first piece of advice he gave was to STOP taking the oral birth-control because it is known that the synthetic hormones interferes with a woman’s natural biology.

I began treatment that day. The first thing that Dr. Nick did that made me tell that he at ease was give me a mirror and let me look at my cervix so that I could see what it what the abnormal cells looked like—my previous doctor never even showed me a clear enough picture, let alone let me see it in the flesh. The procedure took about 20 minutes and consisted of him putting a solution directly onto my cervix and placing in vaginal suppository that I kept in for 24 hours. It wasn’t painful at all. He could not guarantee how many treatments it would take, noting that woman responds differently. However, he did take into consideration that I drove 4 hours round-trip to get there and scheduled me about every 10 days to come in and get the same treatment. He also changed up my diet, adding more leafy green veggies, less meat and adding a regular vitamin regimen to my day.

Within 12 visits, everything had cleared up (trust me, she always gave me the mirror so that I could see the progress). I went back to my previous physician, got another PAP and everything came back regular.

Dr. Nick was great to work with, and I tell everyone about him. I appreciate his natural health and wellness approach, and I really did feel safe allowing him treat me. If I ever have any more issues, I would never hesitate to jump on the highway and make that 4 hour trip for a doctor that I trust.

Dr LeRoy: Partner in My Health. It is my pleasure to write a review and highest recommendation for Dr. Nicholas LeRoy. I have been a patient of Dr. LeRoy’s since March 2003. At the time I had gained 15 pounds during menopause, which was excessive for my small frame. In addition, I was depleted physically after taking care of my dying mother, and then starting a new position at my university. Dr. LeRoy put me on a 30 day detox, weekly and then biweekly acupuncture and chiropractic treatments, and I returned to eating healthy, nutritious homemade meals, and an exercise routine (Pilates, yoga and weights). By the end of the year, I had lost all my menopause weight, and returned to optimal health.

By finding Dr. LeRoy and his Illinois Center for Progressive Health, I discovered that he is a specialist in women’s health and wellness, primarily Breast Thermography. Dr. LeRoy is a leading expert in the administration of breast thermograms and diagnostic interpretation of this test. Annually, I get a thermogram and pap test during my birthday month. After years of pap tests from a gynecologist, I want women to know that Dr. LeRoy is the only doctor who has performed such an exam pain free. He also has that special touch in drawing blood without discomfort—another plus in my book.

I appreciate that in this age of HMOs and PPOs where doctors see patients for a quick 15 minutes, Dr. LeRoy carefully listens to and gets to know his patients as a whole person. Because I see Dr. LeRoy on a regular basis for acupuncture and chiropractic adjustments as part of my overall wellness plan, he knows “me.” That is so valuable to me as a patient. He takes the time to know about my health, interests, concerns, and experiences—a truly holistic view. And I have gotten to know Dr. LeRoy through our discussions on health, medical research and more. Dr. LeRoy is a consummate professional who is knowledgeable about recent research in so many areas of medicine. He himself lives a healthy lifestyle in terms of food and exercise, something I also look for in a doctor.

In summary, Dr. LeRoy and I are partners in my health. I trust him. While my experience is with women’s health and well-being, I know that Dr. LeRoy provides his expertise in many other areas for women and men. He is a caring doctor with the utmost integrity who helps me live an optimally healthy life.

Dr. LeRoy is a blessing!!!!. I am so grateful that I found Dr. LeRoy to help me heal from the awful experience I had at Northwestern Hospital. I am a breast cancer survivor and had a mastectomy, chemo therapy, radiation, latissimus flap, and multiple unnecessary surgeries to correct the plastic surgery. After years of feeling like a lab rat I lost motivation to exercise and began gaining weight quickly. I didn't have any energy and found myself in this horrible cycle of drinking a lot of coffee to get me through the day and going straight to bed right after work. My mother recommended Dr. LeRoy to help get me back on track and he did exactly that! In just two months, he helped me lose 10 pounds with an easy to follow diet plan, exercise routine, and supplements. I am also managing my stress levels with acupuncture, adjustments and massages once a week. I now have amazing energy and my body feels normal again. I HIGHLY recommend seeing him to get to the root of your health problems in a holistic way. From breast thermography to pelvic exam to nutrition and stress managment, Dr. LeRoy has been professional, treated me like a human being and empowered me to take charge of my health! Thank you Dr. LeRoy, you are such a blessing!

Thank you Dr. LeRoy!. I have been a frequent patient of Dr. LeRoy for almost a year. I originally went to him for Breast Thermography. I was so impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and caring, that I decided to see if he could assist me with hip pain I had suffered with for 2 years. Previous chiropractors, massage therapists and acupuncturists were ineffective. Dr. LeRoy successfully treated my pain with acupuncture, chiropractic and soft tissue work. He is highly intelligent, with a wonderful bedside manner. I never feel rushed. My appointments are always prompt. I highly recommend his clinic for a balanced, integrated, holistic approach, personalized to your unique needs. Ladies, please include Breast Thermography as a means of detecting early breast cancer. Mammography isn't always enough. Thank you Dr. LeRoy!
