Cupcakes may have garnered quite the following, but there will always be something comforting about a glass of milk and homemade cookies, at least that’s what this cookie bakery is banking on. Not that this is your grandma’s cookie store: Cookie Bar employs a stark color palate of bright orange and black and has a disco ball hanging from the ceiling. The retro feel is echoed with counter seating and no-frills ordering station where patrons line up to purchase warm, gooey cookies straight from the oven. Choose from traditional flavors like chocolate chip and snickerdoodle, or venture out with chocolate and potato chip or oatmeal chile mango macadamia. For health nuts, Cookie Bar offers a selection of vegan, dairy and gluten-free flavors. Wash them down with a glass of gussied up milk—the vanilla-infused is a favorite.
