Young neighborhood dwellers and serious Indian food aficionados, who’ve trekked in from all corners of the city, munch crispy poppadoms and dip as they consider the menu, agonizing over which of the 12 pillowy flatbreads (home-made cottage cheese-stuffed naan, for example) to order. The flavors of modern Nepalese cuisine, which are largely absent from other Indian restaurants, are the main draw. The chicken momo, an appetizer of eight bite-sized steamed dumplings stuffed with minced chicken and flavorful herbs with a creamy orange Himalayan sauce, is addictive.
