change the chef!!. everything flooded with butter!!the veal is not veal and the red cabbage is too sweet. Everything so fatty that I had to send my liver for vacation after one meal!the meat was hard obviously microwaved or somethiong.But for the service, it would have been a disaster!!…

Authentic German with all the right touches!. Edelweiss is such a great place, a true hidden gem. Sure, its out in Norridge, but thats not more than a 25 min drive from downtown where I live. It has awesome authentic food... delicious! Also not pricey at all, very reasonable.

Another great thing about Edelweiss is that they have live music, so fun! I recommend this restaurant for anyone who is looking for something a little different, and for fabulous German food!…

Dieser Platz ist ehrfürchtig!. Coming from a German-American family I can honestly say (and Oma would kill me for saying this), but this is the best German food I have ever had! I have been to the Berghoff several times, and it is good. But Edelweiss makes it look like a museum.

Edelweiss is alive and bubbling with good food, and good people, and better atmosphere. If you ever get a chance, then try the Oktoberfest (held in September) feast! You will not regret it.
