Seriously...Is there any better way for a sugar junkie to get their late-night fix than hitting up the cupcake ATM at Sprinkles? Pure genius...

Who says cupcakes are dead? Love the. The brown sugar praline ones remind me of the official treat of New Orleans. Milk chocolate cupcakes with extra sprinkles taste like a traditional French mousse with crunchy chips.

Sprinkles is a classic - and they have great chocolate frosting.

There's a reason for the perpetual line; moist, delicious cake, dreamy frosting, cupcakes baked on site, all day! Pumpkin & key lime r tops.

Tips for Sprinkles Cupcakes

I love the fact that they have a cupcake ATM! They're not the best cupcakes I have ever had, but still good. They wrap up your treat in a cute little box.

Just An Average Cupcake. I had my first Sprinkles cupcake (the Red Velvet) a few weeks back. I was anticipating a great cupcake - but unfortunately - it was very bland. The frosting was delicious, but the cake itself was very bland tasting, but moist.

To say the least, I think Sprinkles is extremely overpriced and very much over-rated.

Not as good as More Cupcakes. It looks like I am one of the few who is not enamored with Sprinkles.

I came here on opening day like a good cupcake fan to give them a try. There was a bit of a line out the door, but I only had to wait about 10 minutes to get my cupcakes. I tried strawberry and cherry, because I tend to like the fruity flavors.

Both were pretty good, but the little candy button on top is totally inedible. I almost cracked my tooth on it and it tasted awful. I tried to spit it out, but then got wicked red food coloring all over my fingers and my co-workers thought I was bleeding. Are you even supposed to eat the buttons?

The frosting is evenly spread and very rich and flavorful. The cakes are moist. When it really comes down to it though, I really think I prefer More Cupcakes, which is just one block south on E. Delaware Place. After being so hyped up for so long, I had really high expectations. And Sprinkles just didn't quite deliver.

I'm also totally agreeing with Jackie M about the $1.75 charge for a box. I'm sorry, but that seems a little ridiculous to me. It's not like their boxes are blinged out or anything. More boxes every cupcake in a little Chinese takeout box with no extra charge. Maybe I am spoiled?

I do want to try the Mocha flavor though. Sprinkles deserves a second chance, right?

Oh, and I do like their little plastic knives for cutting cupcakes. Just in case you want to share. Although their cupcakes aren't really big enough to be shared.
