What Our Expert Scouts Are Saying
If options are the cornerstone of this nation then Farmhouse is an exemplary American business. This new farm-to-table outfit offers over 28 beers on tap, but unlike another American value, importing everything, these suds are local. Same with the wine, of which there is no shortage. The locavore mindset carries over to the food. Everyone can find something here, from the most meat-and-potatoes purist to the fussiest foodie. For the former, start with homemade tavern cut potato chips, move on to the Wisconsin cheese ball and finish with a burger made of grass-fed local beef. For the latter, try the roasted beet salad with honey grain mustard vinaigrette and finish with grilled river trout with melted leeks. Farmhouse proves that local eating doesn't require any compromises.

A bar with a decidedly Midwestern
accent--from the local beers to the hearty fare (mmm....cheesecurds!). Sit in the roomier upstairs bar if you can.
