Move over cupcakes - 2012 is the year of the donut. There are so many new donut (or doughnut, depending on how traditional you are) shops opening that it's nearly impossible to keep track of them all. Luckily, the most centrally-located shop is also one of the very best. Since Do-Rite Donuts opened earlier this year, there have been lines around the block almost every morning. Which was confusing at first, since Do-Rite operates out of a small corner of Petterino's - when we first encountered it, we were confused as to why people wanted pre-theater food at 7 in the morning. Stand in the line (it moves quickly), and order two or three of the crisp, sugary confections. We're suckers for the basic old-fashioned, but the Pistachio-Meyer Lemon is a close second. If your cholesterol is feeling low, go for the maple-bacon.
