A scam of a place! They dont honor their own gift cards!!!. Horrible!!! Went there for my birthday the other night & my friend bought gift cards & they do not honor them!!! I saw this same review happen to others since last year! It is a scam to get you in! You buy cheaper gift cards online, then once they get there they say you can only use one, then they will tell you to spend $150 before they will even honor one gift card for $25 off even though it says on there minimum purchase of $35!!! The owner came over, was very, very rude, laughed at us & said we had to look at it from a business point of view? Seriously? Horrible customer service & ruined my birthday!!!

BUYER BEWARE-This establishment DOES NOT honor its gift card. I purchased a number of gift cards for friends and business associates only to have the controller of my company go to the restaurant, eat a meal and be refused to use the gift card "because it was not validated". Absolutely embarrassing!

The implication is that I must have broken into the locked office in the restaurant for the purpose of stealing of a few of these pathetic gift cards? Give me a break.

Spoke with the restaurant manager who actually asked me to provide for all of my credit card numbers to verify the purchase of the $60 gift card because I frankly couldn't remember what credit card I used. Beyond stupid!!!!

Then I spoke to the lady that owns the restaurant, who apologized and agreed to call my controller and apologize to her and replace the gift cards. Well the Nozumi owner called my controller and apologized and promised to send replacement cards out right away .....12 days later .... my controller is stilllll waiting for the replacement gift cards.

Favorite Local Sushi!. My fiance and I had our first visit there the week after Valetine's Day. We had a groupon and decided to try it out.

This was the BEST sushi we ever had compared to other local places near us (Bartlett, Schaumburg). Yes, a bit on the pricey side but well worth it for their freshness and size of their rolls. Anyone who knows good sushi knows it is well worth the price.

Our favorite was the Toasted Lotus hand roll. A light smoky taste with the way they seared the tuna on top! Never had anything like it.

My fiance really enjoyed their Teriyaki Wagyu burger. He is big on burgers and stated this was the best one he's had. The meat he requested medium rare and done just to his liking. The "juiciness" of the meat he could not believe and I've reminded him a few times of how he's claimed another restaurant had the best burger in town (The Assembly). He took his word back and said this burger was nothing like the others he's tried.

We've been back 2 other times since then and had gotten the same waitress our first visit. She was awesome and treated us as if she's known us. Very attentive and polite in addition to being real genuine and sincere. When asked what she would recommend for us to try, she did an excellent job with asking what it was we were looking for and liked and went from there. Excellent service every time we've been back.

The atmosphere is definitely more modern. A place where you can wind down your day without too much noise and distractions; very classy. The 2 different rooms provide just an equal amount of this feel.

Groupon released another deal for Nozumi ($15 for $30 worth of dinner or $7 for $15 worth of lunch). I just bought 3 of the dinner deals and we are looking forward to having dinner there this weekend! I highly recommend Nozumi to anyone who loves sushi and just wants a nice, classy and chill night with friends, family or significant other!

My new favorite spot!. For my mother's birthday, we all decided to come to this new sushi place that caught our eye in the past. As we walked into the beautiful settings of the restaurant, we were politely greeted by the hostess. First we ordered the calamari fries (AMAZING) and the lemongrass mussels as apetizers. The sweet and freshness of the mussels were mouth-watering! Then we had the signature rolls: Satori, Blushing Geisha, Kokoro Sunrise and the Niji Ninja. My mom loved the non-overpowering spice of the Satori dish and I enjoyed the delicious Blushing Geisha. We topped it off with mochi for dessert. Beautifully decorated! Everyone was pleased with their meals that night. Must experience for yourself!
